Honda will be launching their new CR-V by the 9th of October. This is the new gen model that is making a comeback to India and would be the flagship model from Honda in India. The new CR-V is bigger, more luxurious and more spacious plus have diesel and petrol engines unlike the previous gen which was petrol only. The new diesel engine is a 1.6 unit and will have a 9-speed automatic and AWD too. There will be a 2.0 petrol as well but with a different automatic gearbox and in FWD form. The new gen CR-V would be available as a 7-seater which increases its practicality too.

Along with new engines there is a much more luxurious cabin with richer materials and a sharper design. Of course it will be equipped with all the features you expect from a near Rs 30 lakh SUV. The new CR-V then competes with a wide range of SUVs like the Tucson, Tiguan or the Kodiaq but also competes with the highly popular Fortuner which is the best seller SUV- especially being a 7-seater now. Honda will price it well and is looking to get some numbers in this luxury SUV segment. We will be driving this SUV next month too so stay tuned for more.
