As far as the specs are concerned, the JioPhone 2 is more or else the same as the JioPhone. The only major difference between the two features phones from Jio is in the design department. Unlike the JioPhone, the JioPhone 2 comes with QWERTY keypad - much like what we have seen in old Nokia Asha and Blackberry phones. The feature phone also features a 4-way navigation key and also a mono speaker.
The JioPhone 2 comes with the same screen size as the JioPhone. It sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display below which there's the BlackBerry-like QWERTY keypad. The phone is powered by Spreadtrum 9820 dual-core SoC. As already said, the JioPhone and JioPhone 2 are all the same in terms of specs. So, similar to that of the JioPhone, the JioPhone 2 also runs on KAI operating system. The JioPhone 2 comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
On the rear panel, the JioPhone 2 - yet again like the JioPhone -- sports a single 2-megapixel sensor. While on the front the feature phone comes with a VGA sensor, the megapixel count is yet to be revealed by Jio. The JioPhone 2 is backed by a 2000mAh which is also found is JioPhone. On the connectivity front, JioPhone 2 comes with several connectivity options like VoLTE, VoWiFi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, and FM radio. It also supports LTE Cat4 DL: 150Mbps/UL: 50Mbps, and LTE Band 2,5,40, 2G Band 900/1800.
